Hi, we go on Wed 26th and I shall post as soon as we get back and let you know. I have read various reviews on the web - I just searched on google and a few came up. I have read that it is a quieter resort with good entertainment and good food so I hope that is exactly what we are getting! Like I say I shall let you know when we get back.
it better be good lol we booked it!
There's 6 of us going, the in laws and us 2 adults and 2 children so as long as there is something for each of us to do and good food we are going to be happy!
Have a look at the links I send you ( I'm going to try anyway not very good on the computer ).
We have reviews of the
You do Luci but there is only one from this year the rest are from as far back as 2004!
We got back from Polis/latchi a month ago, I noticed that hotel and it looks nice. Its just across from the beach. Latchi is lovely, some nice little tavernas, I especially liked Faro's, they were really friendly. Also try Chix Chox and Mousakillinis, they were adorable. The beaches aren't great, but the sea is fantastic. I'm so jealous, I want to go back - NOW!!!
thank you.
One of the first things I do when I get to Cyprus is visit Latchi Harbour and hire a boat for four hours from George's Watersports. It can cost anything between £40 - £80 for the boat which you take along the coast yourself, drop the anchor in the coves, open the coolbox, grab a cold Keo and lie back and enjoy the sunshine.
thanks any more ideas tips etc...?
We are off to Latchi on the 16th August 2 glorious weeks flying from Glasgow at 9am - cant wait - seasoned Cyprus visitors but never been to that side of the island before.
Get your self a small jeep and take a drive from Latchi towards Paphos on the road signposted Kathikas, Pegeia. You'll crossover the top of the mountains and the view of Coral Bay and the Paphos coast is stunning. Follow signs for the Akamaas Peninsula. You'll go up and down some steep roads towards the Avakas Gorge. You'll come across sign pointing right for Viklari, The Last Castle. Stop there for lunch. For a fiver you can get pork, chicken, potatoes and salad. Carafe of village wine £2.50. The roof is made of vines with huge bunches of grapes hanging down. It's really peaceful, but very popular. It'll be difficult to find a table of your own as most of the stone tables seat 20 people but it makes for a great atmsphere. It's particularly popular with the locals. You can make reservations but I don't have the number.
On leaving, turn right when you get back onto the 'main' dirt road and continue across country. It's a long winding road the the protected wildlife area. If you/re very observant you'll find a sign on your left for Lara Bay. It's a huge cove with a secluded sandy beach. This is where the large turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. Every few yards you'll find a small wire cage, underneath are the eggs.
Continue on the road heading towards Neo Chorio. Eventually, and this is no joke, you'll find a tap for drinking water. At this point rurn right towards Neo Chorio. You'll drive down the other side of the mountain into a wooded area then on towards Latchi.
Sent you a pm
Have a fantastic time in Latchi. I am sure you will love it.
Another 6 weeks before we are back, but can taste that cold Keo already
Cheers
Pete
