It wouldnt be in Fanabe as that is the other way , i know the area you are talking about , if its the area i know Harlequins is there , its in a place calle Playa del camison i will see if i can frinsd the name of the bar for you
There were 5 along my local beach in Fanabe. They had a section of adjacent beach cordoned off with rope and decking down to place their tables and chairs.
However after complaints from the promenade bars and restaurants the council has made them take up the decking and remove the cordon and stop selling food. Withing a few months the beach bars started closing due to lack of business. In Fanabe there is only the one large circular bar left open. They have no decking and sell no meals anymore.
The bar I think you mean is at the rear of the Villa Cortez hotel, alongside the "private" beach area also to the rear of the hotel. It is still there but since I was never around that part of town in the evenings I never saw it open. I don't recall it's name.
It was open last week if it's the bar behind the villa cortes as we were down there last Wednesday watching sun go down. It's got big comfy sofas to the front of it and a roof terrace but I'm not sure what its called either.
If it is the Villa Cortes,it's simply the "Beach Club" at the Villa Cortes. We've paid to sunbathe there and eaten/drunk at the Beach Club. Must admit we weren't that impressed by the food though, but it is a lovely spot to sunbathe.
Is this the Hotel that the beach club's at?
Uploaded that photo after one of our recent holidays.
Beautiful looking Hotel,as well.
Know the area your talking about and tend to think the council has made a big mistake here. Many a day out for a walk with the good lady these bars were a welcome oasis .. I will miss them.

(sorry slightly off topic)
There's photos of the sun terrace and lots of others in the gallery.

I agree with Wilson here. Are the beach bars near the Torviscas Playa still there? My wife and i loved to go down there in the evening and enjoy a glass of vino while listening to the waves lap against the shore! Would be a huge shame if they were gone. We havent been for a year and a half.
Yes the beach bars are still there but they close on a night and like I said in my previous post no longer sell food, have decking or a cordoned off area.
thatsnk everyone ...yes fiona thats the place its lovely there ..thanks again
