It's been 20 years (1986) since we've been to Turkey for our summer holiday. Last time we were there we did a week of touring, visiting Izmir, Istanbul, Troy and several other places and then had a week at Bodrum, which we enjoyed very much.
We are now looking at returning to Turkey next July (2007) and would appreciate any comments or suggestions on which resort to go to. We are thinking about returning to Bodrum, but would also consider a visit to another part of the coast. So my questions are
1. If you've been to Turkey more than once (or if you have a hot tip), and have stayed in different resorts along the coast, which resort would you suggest?
?: 2. 20 years ago everything was very cheap, what are the prices like now? For example, price of a beer, a good meal out and any other holiday expenses.
3. What are the hotel ratings like as in 1986 they were not up to European standard. A 3* or 4* Turkey rating was really only a good 2* European rating.
Any recommendation or suggestions would be appreciated.
