Hi Hugster - I have really enjoyed my holidays at the Odessa - only a minute from the beach with watersports and parasailing, and very close to the strip with all bars and entertainment: mainly karaoke/Elvis if that's your thing. It's not mine, but here are still lots of other decent places in the evening. Beach is good there, and water is very warm and clear so good for snorkelling - plenty fish to see.
If you are half board, then plenty food available and it was fine, with enough choice for everyone at breakfast and dinner. There is a restaurant also attahced to the hotel - the Victorian - which does nice food at lunchtime (and the rest of the day)
If you are all inclusive then you'll be laughing with boys with big appetites! I went for a look around when I was in Protaras in May tihs year although I wasn't staying there - still the same lovely staff and some refurbishmnet of the public areas. It's a good choice in my opinion.
Thanks for all your info-its really helpfull meerkat2505. Sounds like we will have fun.
Have finally booked 10 nights at the Odessa Hotel for end of Sept... cant wait. Can anyone confirm that there are tea making facilities in the room, dont want to be carrying travel kettle etc if not needed.
Hi margaret - I've stayed there twice and don't think there are tea making facilities, as far as I remember. Why don't you email and ask - the staff are excellent and always reply quickly to email requests. Hope you enjoy your stay - I had two lovely holidays there!
Hi meerkat
I have contacted the hotel through the Tsokkos web site, which had a general email address for contact. I sent an email requesting particular rooms and it was answered very quickly by reception at the Odessa - I got a very nice reply and got what I requested, along with a bottle of wine and basket of fruit as a returning guest!
I am not the best with computers, so it may be me doing something wrong
any suggestions of e-mail address to use would be great.
Thanks
demetris.tsokkos@cytanet.com.cy Try this address,It's one i used last year.
Thanks for that e-mail address, it appears to have gone. Lets hope I get a reply.
I must be getting the hang of this computer stuff.
Must confess have just replied to a post on Algarve forum and sent it Twice...Ho Hum
We haven't stayed at this hotel before although we've been to Protaras a few times now, most recently in May this year, and just wondered if anyone can answer a couple of questions, namely :-
Is there a dress code in the restaurant in the evening regarding long trousers, and if so, can you wear jeans?
What is the food like as we've booked Half Board, we normally book self catering and eat out all the time?
Cheers.....looking forward to my first Keo on Wednesday night (late)
Long trousers at dinner,I wore jeans some of the time. The food last year was ok,But it used to be great,You can get beach towels from the gym for free, you leave a refundable deposit,TV remote can be had from reception for another refundable deposit, there are fridges and safes in the room but you will have to pay for those, have a look at the hotel reviews section at the top of this page for more recent info,Enjoy
Jeans are now packed, thanks very much for your advice horrible....will post a review on our return.
