We hope to go to Cyprus the 1st week in Sept but I am a little concerned about the Lebanon/Israel situation with ithem being so close physically. Am I being a worry wart?
Thanks in advance
Ann
There are 100 miles of Mediterranean between Cyprus and Lebanon.
Israel are not interested in Cyprus.
We go on September 3rd and that means WE GO!! not we might go if...
It'll take wild horses to stop me!! (Or the FCO.)

We go October 1st - Not first time we have been near a war zone.
We go tomorrow, and am quite happy to go.
I'm going to Cyprus on wednesday and i cant wait. the situation in the middle east has not worried me as Cyprus is used as neutral ground, nothing to do with the war.
we go mid september.. I'm thinking about its proximity etc.. but Jim says all is ok.. so all is ok...
I go on the 9 aug and i aint changing my mind lol there only interested in each other.
true..
Hi dont worry, travelling on 3 Sept from Manchester (Thomsons) go and enjoy,it wont affect you.
I walked out of Harrods 5 minutes before a load of fire bombs went of.
2 years later (London again) I was in a hotel around the corner from Balcome (sp) Street. (IRA siege.)
I holidayed in Belfast 14 years ago. (No cease fire then.)
I was at more risk there then than I will be in Cyprus in September!
Come to think of it, on one of my earlier trips to Cyprus, the bases were on alert due to an IRA cell being on the island. Should I have a feeling of paranoia?
