Hi Wightlion,

I've never used Ezytravel so I just looked at their website. I'm going for two weeks AI to Nuweiba in a weeks time for which I recently paid £589.00 per head with Jetline Travel. Ezy are offering the same holiday, with only a week until departure for £950 per head. Maybe you should shop around a bit.

Regards,

Roger.

Don't get me started. You may like to read my thread in the 'holiday omplaints' forum entitled 'protection with non-abta bonded travel agents' (or similar).

From my dealings with them I gather that they take customer bookings but don't actually full book anything with the relevant tour operators until the very last minute in an effort to secure the best price for themselves and thus maximise profit. You won't get any confirmation from them whatsoever except for your atol receipt.

No huge reason to think the holidays won't go ahead but be prepared for potential changes etc.

I wouldn't deal with them again as I'm not sure their business practices offer you a great deal of peace of mind etc or security. You get what you pay for at the end of the day.

To put your mind at rest a wee bit, I used Ezy two years running to Nuweiba, and had no problems whatsoever - the price was the cheapest I could find anywhere online, and the tickets turned up without any probs. Hope it's the same story for you too!

Cheers Charlie,
Im glad you have posted that it does make me feel a bit better

is it actually with Longwoods that you go with?
Reply
Yes, Wightlion - it's Longwood - just like all the people who booked with Longwood directly - and when Ezy send your tickets and stuff through, it'll include information direct from Longwood (and if you're really lucky, Longwood luggage labels too!). Don't worry - I'm sure everything will be fine - we didn't even give it a second thought beforehand - tickets arrived about a fortnight before departure and I can quite honestly say that these were the best holidays I've ever had! Just slightly gutted that I'll never go back

Lion... for more special offers check the Longwood page... http://www.longwoodholidays.co.uk/taba_earlybooking_special.htm

Carrot... 589 per person for two weeks ??? Very silly price - and, as we know already, you always seem to strike lucky !

Ah Lion

I misunderstood... thought it was 1100 per person. At the price of 589 it must mean that you gotta be related to the Carrot !

:D
No, but he is definately the man to get tips off, as are you all on here.

LOL, yes - it's for personal reasons, but very good ones! I ended up getting married to one of the Egyptian Longwood reps  so from now on, all our Egyptian holidays will involve visiting family in Cairo instead of sunning myself on a beach!

Lion,

Am I understanding this right? You got 2 weeks at the Coral in october with this Ezy Travel mob at £589 each?

Roger.

I've been watching this thread with interest as we've booked with Ezy for the first time , a two week stay in November at £549 each, we've always used Jetline before and they've been excellent but this seemed sooooo good.
So will be waiting to see how you people get on that are flying out before us ...... lucky you.
A belated "hello" to Swiss who's hospitality is legendary.

Sounds fine to me Andy, once you get your confirmation from Longwoods which is normally quite quickly, you can't go wrong!

I always enjoy a good haggle when I book and it never ceases to amaze me how much you can get off the published price by using your "noddle".
