Hi, Lindos Reception is where you get dropped off and picked up for Lindos. The transfer bus drops the people plus luggage, and you are walked to your rooms with your luggage delivered on a small three wheel pick-up type thing. The reverse for return transfers.
This is done because the streets in Lindos are to narrow for cars or coaches.

Because of the way Lindos reception works, ie your rep may start walking you into the village before the luggage man arrives to pick up your luggage it is important that you make sure the name of your accommodation is clearly written on your luggage labels so it gets to your accommodation. In many cases it will reach your accommodation before you. For night flights in it used to be brought round early in the morning, not done one of those for a few years so that may have changed but i doubt it. Some people may feel uneasy about leaving luggage there unattended but we have been going since 1992 and have never known anybody have luggage go missing. Crime is virtually unknown in this part of Greece. It is left in front of a 24/7 open fronted bar/shop so there is somebody there. We have had night flights home where luggage has been collected from our accommodation at noon and we have not arrived at Lindos reception to board the coach until midnight without problems, despite our luggage being there 12 hours

True night flights used to be the next morning but they now deliver right through the night so whatever time you arrive you'll not be waiting long for you luggage .

Is this for any accommodation in Lindos? Dont like the sound of this!! I like to have my luggage and get unpacked asap!!

It's any accommodation in the centre of Lindos (narrow streets that can't be reached by coach).
I wouldn't worry though they are v efficient with this service now and more often than not by the time you've been walked to your accommodation, the luggage has already been delivered and is there waiting for you, if not it's v soon after. If you're really bothered about it they will let you walk with your luggage but you're on holiday - let somebody else do the hard work!
