No problems in Cala Galdana on Vodaphone, T-Mobile or Virgin contracts.

Hi Ali-10. I stayed at the Viva Menorca apartments at Cala'n Bosch. My mobile phone worked perfectly well inside a ground floor apartment.

Thanks for that....I think we'll probably be going to the Sol Gavilanes, Cala Galdana but just can't decide between the two resorts!
We haven't been to Menorca before so are quite heavily on reviews and friend's recommendations!

With regard to which resort to go to, I can only personally comment on Cala'n Bosch. We travelled as two adults with kids aged 13 + 10 and they both enjoyed themselves there. The marina area especially at night was lovely and had a wonderful friendly atmosphere although after eating we did usually head back to the apartments for their entertainment. I did not think much of the Cala,n Bosch beaches. If you are a beach lover then I don,t think you can go wrong with Cala Galdana, it looks absolutely beautiful. My former boss has travelled to Galdana twice and both times he absolutely loved it there, the first time was in the hotel you mentioned which he thought was lovely. Cala Galdana I think is a smaller resort to Bosch, so it really depends on what you are looking for but I think you will find either of them lovely. As a family we just loved the peace and quiet at night, honestly after midnight you could hear a pin drop, no noise at all. We have already booked to go to Es Cana, Ibiza next year so not sure how peaceful that will be !! Wherever you go have a wonderful time !!
