I've been 3 times may august.september and never had a problem yet, use the usual precautions autan and a vapmat in the room that's it.

I was warned that the mozzies of Lindos were particularly virulent. The warnings were right. We were there in June and the little blighters enjoyed their feast on me.

Let me know when you're going again Magster, I'll take my wife at the same time and you can share the mossies between you. They never bother me when she's around, but they make a feast out of her.

Have read somewhere about using citronella oil to repel the mozzies etc, any idea on how .

We have just come back from Kolymbia in Rhodes and for the first two days we were eaten alive. We took lots of mozzie repelant from home but it was useless. Then one of the staff told us to try Citronella which is a lemon and eucalyptus formula. It worked at treat kept the little blighters right away. It comes in a spray and you just spray it on any exposed parts including face. Definitely recommend buying it when you arrive. We bought from a Pharmacy in Rhodes town.

Theoretically, they cannot fly more than 30 ft above their watery home but eating garlic or Marmite seems to work quite well. The electric mossie killers have always been successful in the past. Alternatively, enough ouzo and you will not notice them.

Got back Wednesday. Only got bitten twice: once on the 1st night and then on the planehome!

Just back from Haraki (20 mins from Lindos)

Very allergic to mossie bites, I have ended up in hospital on previous holidays

This year a good tip was buy a lemon from the supermarket and every night before you go out slice a piece off squeeze the juice out and rub on your legs and arms, do not where perfume

Didn't do this first night and got bit really bad but after didn't get bit again.

They are out in Rhodes but depends were you are.

Back from Lindos this evening. Used the Avon stuff everyone recommends, jungle formula and my electronic repellent. One bite all week. Killed lots in the bathroom!
