Hi kerrie. Would definately recommend the Avons Skin So Soft, dry oil. However it must be the Woodland Fresh one.

I have ben travelling to Cyprus for over 10 years now and discovered it the year before last. it was the first year I wasn't bit!

Hopefully it will work for you too.

Could you let me know if it works please , I have 3 young lads and a wife who all have sensative skin and we also find it hard to get a repellant that is good and at the same time not give them reactions , Never heard of the Avon stuff before and sounds just the job.

Cheers Lee.. :thanks

Just replenished my stock,,,,, this time I got the hand cream this is what the Marines in the jungle use..... The body cream in the tub, I have already got the shower cream, the body lotion and the spray.

The last twice I have been and used it I only got bit once and that was sitting in the departure lounce on the way home, I had packed it in the case,,,,,

The oil can mark your clothes but it washes out, I spray it on my hands then rub it on.. I do not use any perfume now and carry the oil in my bag,,,
Another good product you can buy in a spray there is Johnson.s OFF and it smells very nice,
Elizabeth

Ps be careful your rep does not pam you of with another variety, speaking among friends this is what they do if its out of stock I always write on the order Woodland fresh only...do not give me any other,,,

We went last June/July and used this oil and none of us were bothered by any mozzies. To be honest we did not really see that many, we were staying in Protaras. BTW if you need any Avon stuff it is a lot cheaper on EBay than from Avon, Dojo

A friend has just returned from the Paphos area saying that there is a real mossie problem this year. Just wanted to check to see if anyone else has experienced this? I've got my citronella packed anyway!

we were at the other end of the island last September.. but went to Paphos, didn't see a single mozzie anywhere.. but I think we were just lucky...

its really variable different times of year are different. I was last there a few weeks ago and there was alot of mossies around but in high summerJul/Aug theres usually fewer. I'd just make sure you take some repelent with you but if you want those plug in thingys buy them in cyprus they're very cheap 8)

think we were very lucky then as no one in a party of 2 familes was bitten at all.. not once.. and none of used any repelants of any sort..!

Going to pahpos in 5 weeks, lets just hope they are on a siesta

3 of us were in Paphos 3-4 weeks ago. 2 of us had no problem at all with mossies but one of my mates reckoned he got about 20 bites!

We were in Protaras in October, I was advised to use Avon SSS lotion as its good for keeping the mozzies away. One night I forgot to use it and next day my legs were covered with the bites

Well here in Trimithousa only a few miles from Pafos we had very few this year, maybe you were incamped near still water or a geen area!, this can be a problem, for us anyway it's been a mossie free year so far..maybe because it is slightly cooler than a normal June ...(so far!)

We just came back from paphos last week. Im lucky, I never seem to get bothered by them, but saw loads of people with mega bites all over their legs. Some poor bloke was limping cos of his. My cousin, her boyf & my hubbys parents all got bitten too.

Just take loadsa repelent.

Apparantly if you take garlic capsules for a couple of weeks before you go they leave you alone, don't know if it works never tried it!!!!!!!!!

They are really not a problem this year so far...

As someone who gets bitten by anything that bites I always take precautions against mozzies - just incase!

In previous years people we've stayed with have had lots of bites but we've survived by using a product called Mosquito Milk. Its a roll on and you only need 3 strips over exposed areas - it smells ok as well!
Its better than having to spray the stuff everywhere. It lasts for ages.

Anyway, would recommend it - its not a lot of hassle and at the end of the day even if its of no use because its a mozzie free time, at least you 'feel' safe and don't risk a bite! Better be safe ..............................

Happy hols
