On Friday I went to Cambrils while hubby and kids went to Barcelona. It was a lovely little fishing village and some gorgeous shops. We had a lovely time there. I encouraged my friend to spend lots of money.

Sanguli is in Cambrils, on the edge of Salou. Tarragona is about 45mins away by bus (costing 2 euro a person each way) and is well worth a visit.

There is a great big shopping mall which has a H&M, Zara and Mango, all of which are cheaper than at home. There are also lots of shops,including some little boutiques scattered around the side streets in the town. We also found this great shoe shop around the corner from the bus station which i thought was unbelievably cheap for the qualitly.

There are lots of other things to do in Tarragona if you are into your sight seeing and i would make a day of it if i was you.

An alternative for shopping is Reus which is about 25 min away on the bus, havnt been there though so cant really advise you so much on this. Although i was told that the shops here are more independent boutiques than chainstore style.

Only problem with Reus is that the shops all close at 1pm until 4pm so I would go early doors or later on. The staff in our hotel gave us loads of advice. Reus is very nice for shopping but follows spanish tradition of siesta time. Unlike Salou!

What about shopping in Tarragona, do they have a siesta

I wasnt aware of anywhere closing, but then we were sightseeing too, so may have been busy else where at that time. Even if the shops do close, as i mentioned before there will be plenty of other things to do.
