My niece got married on Friday, in Worcestershire - then we all rolled on down the M5 to the delightful Days Inn at Sedgemoor servies. The rabbits were frolicking in the grass even as we arrived. Here we met up with about 15 friends including one who, coincidentally had a birthday on Saturday too. After a late night party and cake wih candles in room 18 we went to bed very late.
Saturday morning we both opened presents in the beautiful Welcome Break services restaurant watching the rain through the windows. Around 9am we piled into the cars and made our way sedately through the many traffic jams to spend a mad day on the truly excellent beach at Paignton. The water was clear and full of sea lettuce and bromn seaweed, we played beach cricket, volleyball, footie and after a late night visit to the trampolines on the pier left wearily for home at 10:30. Back here just before 2pm. Lovely day - shame Carrot and Everest and Briar and Pippy and Swiss and... everyone I've forgotten couldn't be there.

Pleasse escose the speeling but wo've been drunking at the Abou Lou Lou Lou Lou Lou!
Just had a fabulous dinner on the beach under the moon and stars. (Before you say anything Roger, yes I know we'd have to be a long way up to have dinner above the stars!)

I did post on another thread yesterday, but a belated happy birthday Alan. And thank you for the card! And also thank you to Roger and Pippy.

Of course, August is the best month for all us cats! Probably why we like the heat so much!! Happy Birthday
