There might be rules per airline but I've been on planes where people are using cameras, video cameras, psp hand held, DVD portable players and even Laptops.... I'd suggest you contact the company/travel agent to make sure they don't have any objections other than the normal "must be off during take off and landing"...

thanks for that i think it might be the same as you said make sure there turnt off within take off and landing but i will still get in contact with the travel agent

We've seen DVD's being used on aircraft. As stated only after take off and landing.

We are taking ours in September.

For info, this is the official line from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) who make the regulations for the use of electronic equipment on aircraft. DVD players, along with most other electronic equipment are fine to use in-flight. They cannot however be used during taxy, take off or landing phases (below 10,000 ft), when seat belt signs are illuminated (eg when turbulance is expected) or when the commander of the aircraft (Captain) suspects the equipment is causing interference with aircraft systems.

yeah i think i will take it because ive been on many fca flights before and ive seen people with them so ill take mine cant be no different to anyone elses

We always travel with our DVD players and havent encountered any problems, we go armed with two lol as if its a long flight, it certainly helps

aww lol not long now 8 hours till we leave to go to the aiport im just soo exited but i guess ive rewined my holz a bit because im ill but i think once i get there i wil be much better lol

as long as its off during take off and landing and you don't have those open headphones so that everyone else gets "tiss.,.tiss..tiss..bump..tiss tiss tiss.. .. tiss. te te tiss te tiss te tiss ..tiss tiss" to listen to...
