The weather will still be hot in October, but will be more pleasant than what it is right now.

I am sure the baby would be alright, provided you took all the necessary precautions, ie suncreens, plenty of fluids etc.,

However, as a mum I am sure there will only be you who can make such a decision.

Hi there :D

To be honest if it was my baby I'd take him no problem :D

Lots of people take their babies to Cyprus at all times of the year and in

October it is starting to cool down. As long as you make sure he has plenty

of fluids and has sunscreen on then I can't see a problem :D

Hi Bambino
We have just returned from Limassol on Monday and we had our 16month old there for 2 weeks and both us and him loved every minute. He is not one for afternoon naps but what with the heat and sea breeze he was sleeping every afternoon for a couple of hours. Cypriots also love kids, you will have a great time!

 ......... I cant think why you shouldnt take your baby with you, to be honest.......
We took our daughter to Tenerife when she was only 9 months old........ then to Kefalonia when she was 16 months old (It was over 100degrees when we went to Kefalonia)........

........ as long as you keep him In the shade......... plenty of fluids etc, he will be fine

It really depends on how you feel and how your little one is. If they are a fairly relaxed baby and you feel that they would cope ok, then I would go for it. I am going away on the 1st October with my 18 month old and he will be fine. I do know of parents who have taken their little one away and said never again but as I said it depends on you and your baby. Go with your gut instinct. I am sure it will be fine. I am not hesitating over my little boy in the heat, he will love it in ayia napa in october.

Hi bambinowoo,

we've been taking our daughter (now just over 2yrs old) to Cyprus since she was 3months old and have only ever had problems last Sept but that was because she was teething! She's been 4 times now. We went late Sept and also Christmas time. The weather in Sept/Oct is lovely so don't worry you'll have a lovely time.

Happy hols!

If you want to take a baby abroad Cyprus is the best place no language barrier,

There is excellent hospitals in Paralimni , we have been taking granchildren since small babies , the hospital know us quite well we always seem to have to make a least one trip their per year.

I have not stayed in the Tofinis but know where they are and in a nice quiet area opposite Grecian Sands, we were at a family wedding there in September a few years ago and there was a 3 month old baby there from the UK.

You can get all you need in Cyprus, so dont worry.

Hi, we have taken both of our lads to Cyprus at an early age in October, 7months old and 3 months old. October is one of the best times in Cyprus, it is cooling down a bit and the area calms down a bit after the summer season. You will love it. Ta Dave

100% yes. We took our daughter in September '90 when she was only 9 months and had no problems at all. As a matter of fact think we were better off there than taking a baby away in Britain as the Cypriots are a lot more child friendly. The first couple of days I was asking if it was ok to take the baby in a restaurant and was getting a "why are you asking?" type of reaction. She used to fall asleep in her pushchair in the afternoon and about 8 in the evening and we able to eat out or have a few drinks with no problem at all.
The only problem used to be when we tried to take her out of the pool where she was floating round in a safety ring thingey and she would scream the place down. She was just as wilful then as she is now as a 16 year old!

Also you can get all the stuff there such as nappies, baby food etc easyly although it tends to be more expensive in the small supermarkets.

Don't worry, take the little one and enjoy, the first time we took our son when he was just nine weeks old, when we go this October it will be his 15th time and he will be 8 on the 18th of August.

Enjoy your trip

Hi there..

I would definetly take mine with me because I would be lost without him. My youngest was 13 months when we took him and we were there a month (November) so was warm. He loved it.

Also me and my family are going to Tofinis July 2007 so would love to hear what you think of it when you get back.

Have a great time.
