Hi Les,
We stayed at the Brilliant last year and the one before, with our daughters and grandchildren. We had a great time and I'm sure you will too. It's in a good location without being noisy, and has nice apartments and a good pool area. The beach and strip with all the bars and restaurants are about 5 mins walk downhill (not too steep).

We are going to Cyprus next year for the first time too. I've already asked most of my questions so have an agenda worked out for things to do and places to visit. I like to be prepared

We came back, last week, from the Andreotis Apts In Protaras, just near Fig Tree Bay.
The Brilliant Apts are situated just up the road from there......

You will love Protaras......... Im 100% certain

We are booked to return to Cyprus in about 5 weeks... this will be the first place we've been where we are actually going back... I the past we have said we'd go again about other places but never really gone down that route.... so there must be something extra special about Cyprus...

The first time i visited Protaras i liked to go somewhere new every year but once i saw Fig Tree Bay i caught the bug. I have been to the Caribeaan many times but still prefer Cyprus. I get fed up with people moaning about it being expensive, yes it is pricy but people who moan should go somewhere else. Im not posh at all but in my opinion its another notch up from Spain e.t.c Over the years ive stayed in the Sunrise beach,Capobay,Vangelis,Kapetanious Bay,Ketsios which is opposite the Brilliant, and the Lantiana Gardens Twice. Im going to Kafelonia on 22/08/06 just for a change, but i will return to Cyprus in 2007, i may stop in Penera next year as Protaras is getting very commercialised, with too many tacky elvis impersonators.
