We have just arrived back from Puerto Pollensa and went into this hotel to have a look. It doesn't look much from the outside but the inside is very impressive and the reviews I've read on it are excellent, we are looking to book here next year.

All the restaruants are excellent for family's and I can recommend Tango's, if you walk down the front you will come to the Orange Bar (as in mobile phones) turn up the side street oppostite this bar and you will find Tango's on the corner. It gets ver busy and people were queing to eat there some nights.

Another good place to eat is a small restaurant called Simbads on the left hand side of the sea front. It's only small but you can eat inside and out, they are very friendly and the food is lovely again it gets very busy.

Enjoy your hols :D

Hi

I visited this hotel in August 1983 aged 17 , and its on our shortlist to return this August..this time with my own family..

We have 2 kids ages will be 12 and 8 on departure/return, and would like to ask a question

In the photo gallery on this site there is a picture of Pollensia Park Hotel pool, its a shaped pool, yet on every other site, the pool is shown as being the large rectangular one I remember.???

Its puzzeling me no end

I haven't been in the Pollensa Park since 2001 but then it had a large featureless rectangular pool.

Hi there the picture you see may be of the Pollentia Club Resort which looks like the one in the picture. Please be aware I can only go by the information given at the time the picture is uploaded into the abums. This one was done in 2004 so if any member has a picture of the Pollensa Park pool I shall be happy to put it in the album and rename the other one as the Pollentia Club pool.

Please also be aware that the album pictures are uploaded to the album with the captions rendered by the member who has posted them.

Thank you

I thought it was more and likely to be the rectangular pool, as on all the reviews etc online that was the one still showing.

Still....I remember the pool was cool and wet...so shape doesnt matter that much !

Now we have a deliberation between this hotel and the Hotel America, one being all inclusive and the other half board, with not much difference price wise in between...

We've booked this hotel for August of this year, we haven't stayed there before but went and had a look at it while staying in apartments in Puerto Pollensa. I booked it direct with the hotel and made a good saving, we've booked half board though there are some lovely places to eat out in Puerto Pollensa so I'm sure we'll venture out as well :D

harlowgirl, I see that hotel America is in Calas de Mallorca...

Puerto Pollensa is a lovely picturesque resort with walks and places to visit by bus, boat etc. so if that's the sort of holiday you want then go for PP...

but if you'd prefer to chillout by the pool and make the most of the AI, then choose the America

well, that's my opinion... :)

at least I assume it's the America which is AI?

Well folks,

We booked the Hotel America today, we booked via First choice (in their shop) and they matched the brochure price which was less than Pollensa Park but was also all inclusive, which was a better deal.

Roll on August !

we are visiting Hotel Pollensa Park-porto pollensa and have booked a 4 bed family room.
has anyone stayed at this hotel in such a room before as our tour operator has now said that the four bed rooms do not have balconies.
Does anyone know if this is correct
many thanks

If anyone would like to read or add reviews of the Pollensa Park, please click here.

jaybel, that is not in reply to your question, which hopefully someone can still help you with here.

Hi jaybel, we stayed at the Pollensa Park last year and we had a four bedded room and yes it had a balcony. If I were you I would request a room with a pool view as the room we had over looked the road also see if you can request a room away from the lifts as the room we had last year was right next to the lift and the noise can get to you after a while and you can hear it through the night. It may pay you to e-mail the hotel direct for your requests, the e-mail address is in a post above. The staff are very friendly and we had no problem communicating with them via e-mail. Enjoy your holiday, we really liked this hotel :cheers
If you want to know anything else, please ask
