Hi Louz. where are you staying?

There is a lot of building work going on in sharm but i dont think it will bother you. As I saw it most of the building work is going on outside of Naarm (the main town) along the big coast road that runs right through Sharm. I would actually describe sharm as an area rather than a town although there is old sharm town. If you are staying outside Naarm i.e in one of the A/Is you will only notice the building work on your drive in and out of the hotels. All these hotels have large grounds, long drives and security gates. You really dont venture outside of your hotel unless you are going to Naarm in a taxi or a courtesy bus. unless you are staying on the other side of this main road in other words not on the beachfront once you are in your hotel you will have everything you need + the red sea. many of the newer hotels i would think are on the other side of this road and im not quite sure how the hotel would get you to the beach . presumably a courtesy bus and they would have there own section of beach. not sure about the 2 areas at either ends of sharm which i think are Narq and ras um sid areas but im sure someone else could help you there if you are staying in one of those areas. If you are actually staying in Naarm im pretty sure you wouldnt really notice any building work.

it is an up and coming area like Dubai, with work going on but like the last post, doesnt really bother anyone, apart from the odd perpetual whingers that is. Didnt bother or spoil my holiday atall.
