We stayed there back in April over Easter and loved it to be honest. Had no problem whatsoever with sunbeds but then again it was April. Couldn't fault the hotel and the halfboard food was some of the best we have ever had. The staff are friendly and approachable unlike some staff at 5 star hotels who tend to look down their noses at guests.
The pool area is great and was designed by the people who built the Disney water parks, it's excellant for kids of all ages. There are restaurants and bars of all standards within easy walking distance. Napa is a cy£4 cab ride away or a 45 minute walk (not to be recommended in the summer I would've thought!). It's an ideal setting really with it's own beach and is far enough away from Napa to be peaceful but not a million miles away if you fancy a late night or 2. Rooms were spacious and clean with mini bar, tv , playstation etc.
I do get the impression that the hotel does get a large part of it's business from weddings (has it's own chapel) but the hotel grounds are so extensive they shouldn't impact on your holiday at all.
Thanks for that. Much appreciated. Not long now, roll on Saturday!
Does anybody know which rooms the Adams beach hotel are refurbishing this year?
Is it all of them or just those in the initial building not the wing they added on
Any info would be great

Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade from b and b to half board in Adams Beach hotel and how much this would cost?
Have just spoken to a couple who came back from Adams and were so not impressed.
Just a few things they said:
Its overrun with weddings up to 3 a day
Wedding parties take over the place, bar pool and half of them aren't even staying in the hotel itself
British pub newly opened - loud noise until late into the morning
Rooms in dire need of re-furb - they only refurbed 2 floors of the old wing
Towels threadbare and no where near the standard of a 5 star hotel
Brekkie - lovely
Beds uncomfortable and the leg kept falling off bed in their room.
All in all they said that they reckon Adams just put the extra star on to make themselves 5 star but have changed nothing. The fact that wedding guests are allowed to take over the pool and have rows and rows of sunbeds really annoyed them and when they complained to management nothing was done as they were spending money in the hotel. They both felt that the hotel was totally geared to weddings and wedding guests and the rest of the people staying there were made feel inferior and got inferior service
Somebody said the Adams Beach Breakfast restauraunt is too hot, is this true? Is there not an outside area to sit for breakfast?
Anyone know what rooms have been refurbished at the Adams Beach? the Superior rooms?
