You will need to take your full uk licence and a passport.
If it is a motorbike you want to hire and not a scooter, if they are a
reputable hire company they wille check you have a bike licence (will be shown on your licence anyway)
As for insurance, yes they say they cover you, but until the need for a claim arises who knows!
It is compulsory now to wear crash helmets and if caught without one you will face a hefty fine.
Be very careful on the roads in Turkey as Turkish drivers are not very courteous to bikers!
Lorraine.
Carol Nash insurance can provide holiday insurance with motorbike cover, most holiday insurance will not cover you if you are hurt on a bike.the cost is resonable it cost me £80 for two weeks in the states last year.
Yes Thats right that Holiday insurance does not cover you if you are hurt on a bike. That does cover for cars but not bikes
spend a little extra and get a car....its safer!!!!!!!!!
Am I right in saying that you've never been to Turkey before? If you have I don't think you'd contemplate hiring a motorbike. My husband likes to hire a motorbike wherever we go on holidays but he decided on the journey from the airport that it would be a foolish thing to do in Turkey. The drivers were mad to say the least!
