In my experience the pool water is always cold on the Algarve, the only exception being last year when temps were really high for several weeks and even the water in Lagos bay warmed up.
...............on the other hand, though, you can buy an awful lot of lager for £60 !!!!!!

Hi

The pool at our villa in Praia de Luz was cold, but once in you really did get used to the temperature. However that was in late July/early August so the weather was very hot. I certainly wouldn't have wanted it heated.

The pool at Windmill Hill isn't heated and we've been in quite happily out of season. Yours will be fine in September I would have thought. If you have it heated it won't be refreshing!!! :omg

Thanks Rose - you've convinced me to spend the £60 on something more sensible.

Makes sense Glynis, you would miss that short sharp shock thing jumping in the pool. Also I should imagine if you paid for the pool heating it would be on a thermostat, and possibly would only take the chill off the water, so to me it aint worth it. I'm sure you could find something better to spend the £60 on I know I could. Cheers Jayjan
