Does antbody know if you can get a free bus pass when you reach 65 like you can in the UK. I know you can get them down south but they do not come under the Catalan Govenment. I live in the provence of Girona.

As far as I know the free bus travel is not available in Girona but things are changing so best to check with your town hall.
Free travel for pensioners is available in other parts of Spain especially the Valencia and Malaga provinces but you have to be a spanish resident and signed on the padron of the town.

Thanks for the reply. I am English with full Spanish residency including a NIE and Spanish ID card am also registered at out local town hall as we have to pay the local tax/rates on our house here.
