Lucky you! There is a definite breeze in Protaras. I stayed in villa in May and the breeze could have done with being a bit less strong at times!. Imagine it would be lovely to have the breeze in August.

I think she means safe weather, as in predictable (probably because of past holidays at the same time of year so she knows what to expect). Cyprus is less safe, weather wise, because she has never been and so does not know what to expect.

Haven't been to Cyprus before. Did not mean it is not safe. Why on earth would I be travelling there next year if was unsafe?

With Majorca I know what im getting - even to the point of been a little predictable.

If yo haven't done it before treat it as an adventure. It will only be as hot as we had here for a few weeks this year and I bet you didn't have air conditioning at home! Don't worry about it. What will be, will be. Look forward to it and plan to take it easy and enjoy the villa in the extreme heat of the day.

We had a villa this year, albeit early season, and if there is going to be a weather problem I would much prefer to be stuck in an air conditioned villa with private facilities and a massive fridge than stuffed in a hotel room with extortionate mini bar!

We got back on Wednesday and it was very very hot whilst we were there, and it does not cool down too much at night either. but as it was our 3rd time we knew what to expect. We also stayed in a villa and it was brilliant, we have stayed at the Capo Bay the 2 other times. Whereabouts is your villa located? We stayed at 3 Mylos Villas which is on the main road and had a sea view and to be honest we only noticed a breeze on a couple of days and both times it was at the end of the day, apart from that nothing that was really noticeable. You will love the place, this year we took our 13 year old son and his mate, along with our 5 year old granddaughter and they all had a brilliant time.
