Help needed, have flights booked to Mumbai, but when trying to book internal flights keep being asked for an Indian address, who is the best company to book ongoing flights through.
Lin B, think it depends what time you land in Mumbai and how long you are prepared to hang around at the airport, I land at 0040 and fly down at 0530. the earliest, this was with Indian Airlines from Mumbai and I wasn't asked for any address details? It wasn't the cheapest but the times suited me best.
I've flown with Deccan, Spice Jet and Kingfisher and never been asked for Indian address - booked with Deccan only last week and never got asked.

This a useful site for finding Indian Domestic flight options and prices.
7 of us fly to Goa via Mumbai on 2nd October with Jet Air. We arrive in Mumbai at 1050 hrs and the connecting flight, again with Jet, is 1230 hrs. That leaves us just 100 mins between flights and from others experiences it doesn't sound enough. An earlier thread (which I can't now find!) mentioned a similar problem and the solution was a fast-tracked passage through the queues. Can anyone offer some advice please?
I spoke with Travelbag and they tell me that as I am going all the way with Jet Air then I will have no problem. In my experience life is never that simple!
Sounds a bit tight to me! I assume you will have to change airports in Mumbai and by the time you disembark, go through imigration with seven of you even if you are fast tracked, transfer from one airport to another, (if this is the case?) even providing your UK flight is on time and your bags are checked all the way to Goa from UK! If it doesn't work out and you miss the connection I would check to make sure Jet will arrange for you to go on the next Mumbai/Goa flight foc? Good luck!
We were booked on these flights in Jan. this year, we booked through Southhall Travel, before the day arrived we were contacted by Southhall and rebooked on the later flight. As it hapened, we would not have made our original flight, as from touchdown to our arrival in the domestic departure lounge took just under 3 hours Alan
Jet Airways miss this connection as often as not. Don't worry though, in this case they will simply re book you on the 14:30 flight. If you ask they'll even give you a pass for free food and drink in the restuarnt upstairs in the domestic terminal while you wait.
Once we were coming back from Delhi with Jet Airways and our flight was late coming in and we had about 15mins to spare for our connecting flight to Goa so they let us walk off one plane and straight onto the other without having to enter the terminal - now that's what I call quick service!!
We are also booked on the same flight times with Jet, on 6 th november, just hope we are as lucky as you were Sandyshoes
Thanks for the comments folks. From the mixed experiences it looks as though we have two chances.....we'll either catch it, or we won't!! It's reassuring to know though that if we miss it then it's not too long a wait for the next flight.
Thanks bigdavej, would like to know how you get on with the transfer, and good luck
Help I need some advice, according to our flight details with British Airways we are suppose to land in Mumbai at 11.40 on the 26th of December, if i book with Goair to fly to Goa at 13.40 (2 hours later) will that leave us enough time for going through immigration, collecting baggage and catching our connection down to Goa ; any help would be appreciated
Dont think so!? Best to check ur times am versus pm! No chance to do immigration, transfer etc within those time scales!
can you give me an idea on how long i will need from landing in Mumbai to leaving Mumbai for Goa
Hi Jayne, I would say it took a minimum of 2 hrs, I will time it when I get there and let you know,
We flew back on Sunday morning from Goa to Mumbai on Airdeccon.
I can honestly say it was the worst flight of my life. We were on the propeller 30 seater. For a good 25 minutes of the flight (during a storm) people screamed at full pelt whilst others prayed to God repeatedly. At one point I tried to tie my bag to my wrist to assist with identifying my body!! The plane rocked and dropped violently and repeatedly.
My OH insists that I point out that the storm was the problem and not the plane but this gives me little comfort.
There was only one crew member on board (a young indian girl). She spent her time clung on to her seat looking petrified and did'nt exactly instill confidence !!
The pilot said NOT ONE word throughout the flight or on landing.
NEVER AGAIN
Forgot to say Goa was fantastic !!!
Sometimes small is'int beautifull ! now we know why they are the cheapest. Alan
