This year we had a two bedroom apartment, double bed and en-suite for us, twin beds and their own bathroom for our teenage girls, bliss.Room 1404 overlooking the pool.
As it was exceptionally hot we tended to stay around the pool most days, and eat out every evening. These are the places we tried, Le Madri Did the best Meatballs and the meals came with jacket potato which was nice, Adam and Eve up from Gima good food and entertainment, Taj Mahal always a good meal, Le Vie on the corner near to Migros excellent Mexican and try there fried ice cream(georgous), Adam and Eve up by the Armar hotel food okay, Turkish kitchen Sofra2 behind talk of the town, excellent food and so cheap we went 3 times, went to Icmeler No Limits for a Chines but wasn't as good as last year, good food at Club Alize especially the Turkish night, the only bad meal we had was at the Apex steak house.Best breakfast was at Always English or Scottish for 2.75 lira.
Hubby was pleased the Irish bar now has Guiness even though it's canned, at 8 Lira, we went there a few times. My first time at Talk of the Town an excellent show, myself and hubby did the Ephesus trip and thoroughly enjoyed it, We all did the lazy days boat trip on King Sezar at £10 AI great value for money.
Met up with Lisaloo and family and Leighanne and family a couple of times, hoping to meet them again now we're home.
During our second week we had power cuts most evenings but not for too long.
Sadly all too soon our holday came to an end, but we have some great memories and some good photos to look at during the long winter months.Bye for now Maggie
