Just wondering what people do when they have the option of checking bags all the way through to the final destination airport?
I can check my bags at my first UK airport for my final destination. I go from one UK airport to another, then onto U.S then onto S.Pacific. I'm a bit nervous about not seeing my bags from airport1, to airport4. Thats a BIG opportunity for the bags to go missing which would ruin my holiday.
Just wondering what others do?
When we went to Australia I picked up my luggage at Heathrow after flying from Aberdeen, but I would opt to check it through to the final destination. You may not have enough time to collect luggage at each airport and change terminals.
We have always checked our luggage straight through when going to Las Vegas with two connections and it has always made it to the end so far.

I flew from Cambodia back to the Uk a couple of years ago, changed planes in Saigon, Bangkok then Frankfurt and I didn't see my case after leaving Cambodia until I arrived at Heathrow. No problems. I would always check it through if I had the option.
Despite my recent delayed baggage problem, I would never hesitate to book my baggage through to its final destination.
