Not sure there is a train in Panjim, might be wrong, but you are as well getting a taxi or a local bus, it isn't that far really

Hi The train doesn't go directly to Panjim from Margao (if at all?), The best way to get from Margao to Panjim is the express bus which can be found at the main bus staion in Margao. It costs about 20p and is a non stop service so is probably the fastest way to travel on public services. The other thing is that you're guarnteed a seat so you don't have to stand with someone's armpit in your face... I guess a taxi would be about 400 Rs/- (at a guess).. But the bus would make sense. The bus station in Margao is on the north side just as you leave, so get either another bus to it or a tuk tuk.
