then i saw the weather forcast THUNDER

Is that right ???

I've checked the 5 day forecast which gives sunny with a little cloud and between 88-93 degrees.

No sign of thunder on there but as I say thats only a 5 day forecast.

I keep seeing thunder all over the place on the sky channel euro weather but so far not seen any over Cyprus, but it is on the edge of the screen..

1 day and counting....

No thunder or rain here, wall to wall boring old sun, getting a little old hat here, seen no rain since early last May, looking forward to getting some, although no sign of any changes as yet, maybe later next month for those thunderstorms.

Just a shade cooler in the night now, thankfully.

We need rain here badly, water stocks are very low this year!

seriously though, is there a panic about running out of water? (like they do here in the uk if the sun comes out for 3 days in sucession) ?

Surprisingly enough it usually rains somewhere on Cyprus most days, usually in the Troodos of course, but there is no panic, we do have a hose pipe ban with heavy fines if caught, and water pressure is always very low now, and some days we are without drinking water..we do get used to this, tourist areas are never off, I wonder why .

I only tend to use water for showering while on holiday... I drink beer or bottled water.... seems we in the UK are pretty poor when it comes to careful use of water...

Understand the beer thing Steve but why bottled water...not good mate!!

its easier to carry bottled water about, as I find carrying 300m of 15mm copper pipe to fit a tap where I want a drink, hard work....

Good answer Askcy. I only drink bottled water myself. I thought it was for a different reason but I suppose not being able to fit all that piping into the seat of my scooter is a good reason.
