We have stayed at Tuncay apartments last October.Lovely roomy apartments with a huge balcony.They are run by a lovely family and are only 10minutes walk into centre.

We want somewhere close to the beach but not too noisey at night.

The Tuncay apartments are around a 10 minute walk into the centre but they are very peaceful at night, they are lovely apartments, we have been there 2 years running and my Mum and Dad are going back for a 3rd next year, it all depends on whether you are willing to walk...

This could be true because it is close to the centre but it is also a quiet area and like John said - the Tuncay are booked up for August!

I have stayed in both... Captain Silver & Tuncay... Both very good.
My views...
1. Capt Silver nearer to everything but saying that they are situated just off the road so still peaceful

2. Tuncay abit further walk out of centre... if you don't like walking much then stick to Capt Silver but if you don't mind a 10 min walk then the walk is a nice one...

3. Pool... pool area... pool gardens at Capt. Silver are pristine (well was when we went 3yrs ago)... Views are lovely... Apts nice

4. Pool area at Tuncay not as lush as Capt Silver but alot more relaxing... never have to put towel on sunbed etc.. always one available no matter what time of the day... still go mountain views... and is ohhh so blissful & peaceful there thru the day...

5. Owners of these places... well what can I say... yes.... you was right... wife of owner of Capt Silver ..... omg... really you just have to laugh at her... God knows who she thinks she is.... arrogant and rude.. but saying that... you wouldn't see much of her and if you do you just ignore her... and certainly wouldn't let her put me off going there because the apts are really nice... Owner of Tuncay.... You couldn't get anyone more hospitable... he's fab... totally different... She...Capt Silver obviously needs teaching abit of 'how to communicate with people' because she obviously has no idea how much she is 'not liked' or then again maybe she does.. who knows... but again don't let her put you off... she's nothin..

we have just returned from 11 days at the CAPT SILVER APART .i feel that MRS Silver gets critisised to much and from what we found she would acknowledge us and so did her freinds .

The CAPT SILVER are set in an ideal location in a cul de sac against the mountain side with lawns that have plenty of shady trees.
The 2 cleaners spoke to us all the time and kept the rooms spot on.
The pool bar was tended by Giggys who was always talking to you.

Most of the reports about her been bad are a few years old and i feel it should be updated.

The beach is only 5 minutes away and the shops 2 minutes away.
We met some lovely people Michelle,Dave and Dylan. Angie and Jack with mum and dad,The Belfast crew(10) and not forgetting Georgina and Darren .They all helped make it a super holiday in a nice complex that was clean and freindly.
So give MRS SILVER a break she wasnt there searching our bags or hounding us to eat in the bar at evening meals like some storys we heard.
Give it a try i dont think you will be disapointed

Hi... you wouldn't have been talking about her like that if you'd have stayed there a couple of years ago... maybe hubby has had a strong word in her ear (he was completely opposite of her) ... or maybe she has been having 'communication' lessons... anyway... hope she continues her nice spell.. there was only her that spoilt it .But as far as complex is concerned.. yes you are right it is very nice..

I stayed at Capt Silver Apartments in 2003 - whilst we were there Mrs Silver held her annual b-b-q. All the guests and staff were invited and it was free, you only had to pay for your drinks. It was a fantastic night - belly dancers, snake charmer, singers, turkish folk dancers etc. The food was wonderful and very elaborately presented. As I've said, it was all free, so she can't be all bad! Yes, she is a little strange, but she certainly didn't spoil our holiday, in fact I think we enjoyed it more because of her!!! She was a good topic of conversation for us and other people staying there and she gave us a good laugh on a few occasions. So, don't let what you've heard put you off. If you want good, clean apartments, with a great pool and in a good location, then try these.

I would highly recommend Captain Silver apartments. We were there last August, lovely and clean, great location, rooms looking a little "tired" but I would definitely stay there again.

Having said that, I also have to agree with the above comments about the owner made by jessfm, she was an old bag!...........

Ohh Grace... thank goodness you've said that... was beginning to get abit of a complex thinkin it was just me who had those thoughts... maybe she has changed abit now who knows...
