Thanks for that. I know you're not a weather person but what sort of temperature do you think it will be then? Warm enough to get a tan?

I love Olu also - have a great time.
Reply
yes you should get a tan we have been going for years in oct and the weather has been lovely around 70-80 approx

I am also going on October 16th to Olu, have been at that time for the last two years, as said it is lovely during the day sat on the beach or the lagoon great!! Last year the evenings were really cold and the mornings before the sun came up over the mountain had to wear a jumper and sit inside for our meals which was unusual.

We are going to Hisaronu for a Turkish wedding 27th October till 6th November. Hope to manage some sunbathing but expect it to be quite cool at night especially up in Hisaronu.
Will manage to see some of the air games at Olu aswell so thats an added bonus.

Thanks everyone for the information - it's a great help.

Stayed in the Belchen Delux in Olu in August which was a fantastic hotel

Seen a holiday to stay at the Karbel in Olu for a week half board for £154.00 so I'm very tempted now to book it now.

Hi we are also off to Olu on 20th oct for a week.

What are the pools like in Oct??

When we went to Greece in Oct several years ago. the pools were freezing and noone got in at all!!

Has anybody been to Olu last week of season before? Do things start to shut up early, or do they keep everything going?

Were there in July and had a great time, cant wait to get back!!
Also is there a mozzie problem in Oct??

Thanks in advance Sue :D

Hi, The pools are quite cold but there were people in them, I went in the sea every day last year it was a lot colder than the summer but still ok.My young grandchildren went in the pools and the sea and enjoyed it. Some of the hotels were closed and I think one restaurant but it is a lovely time to go. This year the paragliding airshow is on the last week of October which is brilliant to watch lots going on, and the whole resort will be full of paragliders.

we have found wasps more of a problem in oct as they are dying off and the last 2 octs ive been stung grr so fingers crossed i dont get stung this year

as for the pools as said previously said they are usually very cold but the kids dont seem to notice as much as us adults do, i have found the sea warmer in oct than the pools
