Thanks for the replies, couldn't find the post so Iassumme that it has been moved to come under a specific topic so I apologise for not responding sooner.

I have ruled out the Balmoral Hotel, The Lagomonte seems really good but I am a bit concerned about the size of the rooms as my kids are now 13 and 10 and quite tall, so I dont know if it would be too tight a squeeze. (suppose I will just have to weigh up the pros and cons). I also looked at the saturno which was recommeded on the replies, but I think it may be a bit to big and busy for us Which leaves me with club cala romani and marina corfu I think.
I have looked at that many hotel reviews now and I just seem to get more confused about which to choose. (Anyway I will have to book soon or I will be sleeping on a beach lol)l

Can anyone help me I have been looking for a good all inclusive hotel for end Aug next year in all the brochures but I am unable to find any. Every review I read is for half board only and for German people. Is this a good resort to visit? I would be obliged for any help. Thankyou.

Hi there, we stayed at the hotel hawaii in Magaluf/Palmanova. You can only book AI through Med Hotels and booking your own flights. we saved £1800 on 4 adults and 2 children by doing it this way. The Hotel hawaii usually has free child places. see my review about this hotel.

You can also Book the Hawaii all inclusive through http://www.xcapewithus.com who are alot better on prices than medhotels. Also wsh will have it when they release it for booking which im told by them will be before christmas.

Has anyone used ''xscapewithus'? I have not heard of them and their prices seem too good to be true. I booked a holiday this year with a 'too good to be true' priced company and they went bump before my holiday. I got my money back from the credit card company but it was all a bit of a hassle!

I have booked to go with http://www.xcapewithus.com 3 times in the future, salou at xmas & the Hawaii in Palmanova twice next year. Seem very professional, when i booked both the Hawaii dates May & August they even gave me a courstesy call to check that i did need 2 bookings & it wasn't a mistake by myself. Also have done price comparisons with wsh, medhotels & alpharooms & they are always better. Also they have an office in Majorca as well as the UK.

Well I've been to Majorca 7 or 8 times, and always been AI, all in different hotels. We're going to the Sol Tordos this year, but I highly, highly, recomend the Honolulu in Palma Nova as the best AI hotel I've ever been to, anywhere in the world. I've been to alot of AI hotels, in alot of different countries and all of us found the Honolulu faultless! The best holiday all of us have ever had, and our age ranges at the time ranged from 2 to 53!

Have a look at the Aparthotel Vista Badia in Sa Coma. Have just been all-inclusive at this hotel and we thought that it was excellent. Nearly all drinks are included at the bar, the only ones we are not included are Champagne, some of the cocktails and very expensive malt whiskeys. Also included was horse riding, bike hire, 54 hole crazy golf course and all the other sports facilities. Have a look at their web site - http://www.protur-hotels.com.

The Marina Pax in Magaluf is very good, a part of the Marina Hotel Group.
It is in the quiet end of Magaluf and a 10 minute walk will bring you to the resort centre. The Pax has a sister hotel next to it(The Marina Barricda) but it is very large and rather noisey at times.
I have stayed in many A/I hotels and rate this among the best. See the Hotel review section.
Have also stayed in the Honolulu and while it was good it would not touch the Marina Pax.

We are considering a family holiday to Majorca next August. Having been to Majorca many times (mostly in my younger years!) - most recently in apartments in Cala D'Or and Cala Bona/Cala Millor. There will be quite a large number of us going next year and because there will be quite a few kids we thought All Inclusive may be the best option. However, I've yet to find consistently good reports on AI's and wondered if anyone had some good recommendations.

There will be a maximum of 15 of us: grandparents(2) and parents (6), a 19 year old and 6 children ranging from 6 to 12 years.

Basically we don't want to stay too far from the airport (cannot stand long coach journeys after a flight!) and the hotel and surrounding areas have to be relatively flat. We would like at least 4* accommodation and woud also consider half board. We would also like the option of large rooms, either with 4 beds or apartments in an all inclusive/half board complex.

I would appreciate your recommendations on what you think is::

- The most suitable resort - ideal for families with a safe beach and some life in the evenings, ideally with somewhere to walk in the evenings, i.e. a promenade or marina.

- A good 4* hotel that caters well for families. either on the beach or in close proximity. Most of the kids love football and golf and, of course, swimming so a pleasant pool area, with a kids pool, is also important.

Your views would be very much appreciated. Thank You.

Have you looked at sa coma, lovely beach, promenade, safe in the evenings, short taxi ride to neighbouring resorts. The Safari apartments offer AI. We are going with portland they offer half board and self catering, but I think you could upgrade to AI directly. We went last August and we a returning in July. The rooms were one bed apartments which were definite 4*. The hotel also has a childrens park which is free to under 12s, and paradis park which is 3 18 hole crazy golf courses. The hotel is mainly german people but we never found this to be a problem. You can look at this hotel on the protour hotel website.

jansiddell - I have absolutely no idea what it is actually like because I go in 2 weeks time, but it sounds like Can Pastilla could be a good choice for you.

We're staying AI at a 3 star (apolo) in Can Pastilla. It's right next to the airport, and is the start of the longest beach on the Island (with a walkway on the edge of the beach for the whole 5km. From my research apparently it's a bit more cosmopolitan than some of the resorts and not really a "Brits Abroad" type place. Here's the thread I started about it......

I can give you a report of what it's like when I get back!

HI,

All you all inclusive pros!!!

Me and my partner are off to the Hotel Honolulu for a week all inclusive at the beginning of September, this is the first time we have been all inclusive and are unsure how much spending money we will need?

Any guide will be greatly appreciated, i am 25 and my partner is 34, we are not into clubbing but do like to have a drink and a good time.

Looking forward to your responses 8)

Cheers

We are thinking of going AI next July in Majorca, does anybody have any recommendations for the best budget AI for a family with 3 & 8yrs olds that want entertainment? We don't fancy Alcudia as we have been there before. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mark and Sara, the Sol Mirlos / Tordos do AI they're in Palma Nova. One of them is Flintstone themed though I can't remember which one. Only a short walk to the beach too, and not in a noisy area. Hope this helps, someone else will be along to give more opinions lol. Love Linda.
