I have hired cars many times in the Algarve but cant ever remember seeing a scooter hire place. No doubt there will be one somewhere but they dont appear to be in great abundance. The only scooters I have seen have been used by locals. They way they drive in the Algarve at times I wouldn't recommend it and the roads are a bit iffy in some places.

I rode a motorbike at home for many years and would still be wary about riding a scooter there.

I think there was a question a while back regarding motorbike hire. Try searching the forum under "scooter" or " motorcycles" and you should be able to find some info'.

There is a scooter hire place on the road between the Strip and Santa Eulelia Road in Albufeira.
