hello,
can anybody tell me when the winter 2007 holidays go on sale.
thanks
Holidays for this winter (2006-2007) are on sale now and have been since last November, I booked our Easter 2007 holiday about 10 months ago.
Holidays for next winter (2007-2008) will probably go on sale at the beginning of November - about 6 weeks from now I'm already putting together my shortlist for Easter 2008
we are looking at the golden beach holiday village in the dom rep for xmas 2007.
we are going out there next year and the price was really good.
Unfortunately the Gambia wasnt in but there was a variety of destinations in the brochure.
Does anyone have any idea when the Winter 2007 brochures are out, especially looking at First Choice/Eclipse.
From what I remember from last year, Winter 2007/08 will probably go on sale in another couple of weeks - they usually start selling the next winter season once the current summer season has finished at the end of October.Does anyone have any idea when the Winter 2007 brochures are out, especially looking at First Choice/Eclipse.
I'm itching to get my brochures, I've got my eye on a particular hotel and it's sold by Thomas Cook, MyTravel and Cosmos, so I need all the brochures to compare prices First Choice/Eclipse are usually pretty quick to go on sale, often a week or even two weeks earlier than some other operators - keep checking their websites, the new dates should go up sometime in the next 2 weeks.
I was browsing on the Thomas Cook site the other night and it let me select April 2008 but when I opted for Canary Islands it wouldn't search for anything, so I guess it's just the exotic long-haul holdays that are on sale for the moment - you'd need that long to save up for it anywaySome winter 2007/2008 holidays are on sale now. I went in Thomas Cook shop yesterday enquiring about the Gambia for December 2007. They gaveme a brochure to look at - something like Faraway Shores?
First Choice were booking till Jan 2008 when I went in a couple of weeks ago
i called into mt local f/c shop on sat and the holidays for winter 2008 was not on sale. even long haul which is what i want.
so i guess i will just have to wait.
long haul is not that much dearer than any other holiday we have gone on. i think we have paid a extra £200 on next years holiday than the club caleta we was looking at.
Unfortunately the hotel I'm interested in is sold by MyTravel, Thomas Cook and Cosmos, so I'll have to wait a little while longer for that one
Edit: 28 Oct - MyTravel are now on sale too
I'm still trying to find out when the school Easter holidays will be in 2008. Easter is very "early" that year - Good Friday is the 21st March - I've searched my local council's website and they haven't put up the 2007/08 term dates yet, although other councils have done theirs and it seems to be all over the place - some areas finish on Thu 20 Mar for 2 weeks, other areas just take Good Friday and Easter Monday as public holidays and have 2 weeks holiday in April instead I've emailed our local council (Manchester) but I'm not expecting a speedy reply...
I already booked with portland for Xmas 2007
Booked for Tenerife yesterday Our local education authority finally posted their 2007/08 term dates on their website and so I could safely book for Easter 2008. Booked with Sunset (Thomas Cook) it was almost £400 cheaper than booking with Airtours for the same hotel and same dates, and the flight times are better too!
