Hi my friend stayed at the Bacoli last year and said the studios were about a 10 minute walk into town. They were happy with them, said they were clean and the owners very friendly. There is a pool but no bar. Adams (First Choice) are good - my friend has been twice this year. They have a pool and bar with large screen tv and the restaurant serves really good food but the walk into town is about 20 minutes. Depends really what you want from your accommodation (quiet location, bar, pool).
No matter where you stay, you will love Parga :D

We stayed at the Bacoli in May and they are nice, clean typically Greek rooms. They have good views from the balcony and are cleaned daily. The pool is nice and quiet and there is a TV in your room.

It is a 10 minute walk into town but it is up a slight incline on the way back which could get quite difficult if you had walking difficulties, if not its not a problem. There is even a place to stop off for a beer on the way home! There are a couple of good restaurants less than 3 minutes walk away and it is a good place to stay that I would recommend.

So I understand from you, Lou and others!! Nearly went to the BBQ night there this year at the invitation of our Accomm owner who is the mother of the lady that owns it.... perhaps as well we didn't
Sorry you had such a bad experience there

Hi Kelvin. Would that be Irini's mother who has the gift shop? Irini is lovely and so are the children. Hasn't put us off Parga. Read a few reviews on other sites and pleased to know it wasn't just us!! Might try the Epavlis next time. Any idea what it's like? Gx

Yes we stayed there this year and it is very good, spacious rooms, lovely pool, central, would recommend it.

Gail, yes you're right it's the lady who owns the gift shop! Really lovely lady who can't do enough for you, despite some language difficulties. Its a fair climb up those stairs but well worth it for the convenience of bothje the town and Valtos

Hi Kelvin. Been looking at Parga for a week next June even though we have booked Zante for August. There will be just the 3 of us (plus a friend for our son) so the only accommodation through Kosmar (who seem to be the cheapest/have accommodation suitable for 4) is the Christopher or Belos. I notice you can use the pool at the Epavlis if you stay at the Belos. What room number would you recommend at the Christopher studios? We were leaning towards Belos cos they have a 2 bed apartment and use of a pool. Would the noise from mopeds etc be a problem in June? Would love to stay a the Hotel Alfa but the price is a bit prohibitive cos we would need 2 twin/double rooms.
Gx

Gail, I thouht that might be you on the parga, com site!! No, early season should not be a problem with too much traffic at the Christopher! and the Epavlis pool is nice! and not too far away, on the way to the Green Bakery.
On the ground floor are two "family apartments" with separate bedrooms I'd go for that I think they are numbers 9 and 11 or other than that there is a GREAT family accomm "room" at the top (N0 7) which has two separate rooms, one at the front of the building and the other at the back. The front room has a double bed and the back two singles, connected witha proper bathroom in the middle... yes Bath and all. The front room has a large balcony with a great view over the tops of all the houses out to the sea.. IN all honesty I would go for that one if you can get it

Hi Kelvin. If we stayed at the Christopher, do you think we would be able to use the Epavlis pool? Regarding room numbers, you know Kosmar don't guarantee requests which was another gripe when we stayed at the Irini this year. I requested a certain room number cos it has nice large terrace (instead of a balcony) and it is one of the newer rooms but surprise, surprise they put us in one of the old rooms even though we were the first booking Kosmar had for the Irini in 2006 (I booked the day after we came back last year)! When I asked if we could move, it wasnt a problem to the owner but Richard (the rep) wouldn't budge  . In a bit of a dilemma now cos we have booked Zante and hubby would love to go to Australia in December 2007 but we can't do both :?

Yes you can certainly use the Epavlis pool... No problem there!
I also know that Kosmar don't guarantee room numbers, but if it helps I have Elias Bakos's (The owners) mobile phone number so you could always contact him and tell him to have a word with the on site rep (who uses the Parga Holidays office) That might help!
WE want to go to Australia too in 2007 (October) so we will have a job fitting it all in.................and finding the money
