We sell this place to East Europeans and not many English like it as it is not really geared up for them.

I stayed at the Altin Orfe a few years ago and it was awful. So OK it may have been refurbished and redecorated since I stayed there, but one thing that sticks in my mind was how tiny the rooms and balconies were. Great location - it's virtually next door to the Old Famous Kitchen, 30 seconds from the Canal (dreamboys end).
There are plenty of other hotels around - have you looked at the Mandalin Hotel (above the Mandalin restaurant) - you couldn't wish to be more central! It's on the ICR website and very reasonable - and I'm told it's lovely (I have booked to stay there for a fortnight in August)

Thanks so much for the replies. We will definatly be booking again with ICR but we really dont know where to stay next year. We LOVED the Blue Rainbow until certain children from another hotel spoiled the holiday after numerous complaints which fell on deaf ears. It is up to 6 of us to chose the right place for next year due to more people tagging along to Icmeler. The more the merrier I say. Happy hols. Anna xxxxxxxxxx

I've never stayed their personally, but I've had friends stay there, 3 years ago I think it was, and they had the same sentiments aas those who've already posted; worse hotel they've ever stayed in.
