Portabello, lots of pools and good one for the little ones.
Have not stayed here myself but know people who have and we have used the facilities.

Club orient looks good too, i have been looking at this one for next year with H4U, gets good reviews.

I think Thomson were doing Candan, i have not come across any independant operators but if i do i will give you a shout

Also to add, have you not thought of B/B i got a price for 20th july 2weeks for Ebru hotel, 2 rooms for £1500, for 5 people.

The places i have stayed in Marmaris S/C i have only had a 2 ring cooker, a fridge and sometimes a kettle but nothing else. It does nt matter though as we eat out all of the time.

Hi Marion, you could try Club Atrium, which is in the Armutalan area which I think you may be familiar with. Got 2 great pools, with shallow areas for the little 'uns, and a kids play area. I've stayed there self catering in a studio apartment but you only get a 2 ring cooker, full fridge and kettle. You have to take your own tea towel etc., Not sure what the one or two bedroom aparts are like, but if the studios are anything to go by they will be fine. Atrium also has a lift.

You could also try Xanthos Apart which is just over the road from Atrium, behind the Robin Hood Restaurant. I'm not sure if they have 2 bedroom apart but look on their website, http://www.xanthosapartment.com. You can email them to ask any questions and you can also book direct by email. I stayed there for a week in September in a studio as I was on holiday on my own this time (wouldn't have gone anywhere else on my own, only Turkey!!), the apartments are kept lovely and clean, staff friendly and they have entertainment every night. They also have a swimming pool. Cooking facilities were same as Atrium but, unfortunately, no lift.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

I would say try Club Alize, two bedroom apts also have two bathrooms, fridge , kettle, two ring hob plus a microwave the only thing missing was a toaster.Price them up with first choice and eclipse direct as they do vary in price, if you do it on the web the code for these apts are 10819. Read the reviews you'l see for yourself how popular they are.Good luck Maggie

Lou Lou you beat me to it, i would also reccomend the Portabello, friends of ours stay there every year and we always use their facilities. It's a large complex with surrounding apts that all look different but are part of the complex. Lots of pools and waterslides it's very family orientated. The Club Alize is next door to the Portabello and more low key, stayed there last year it is also family orientated but not on the scale of the Portabello. If you do book the Portabello First choice have the older apts rooms which have had a few complaints though don't know about this year.
Happy booking wherever you choose

Try this site for accommodation only - very reasonable and we have used them 3 times now without problems;

Portabello :D is ideal. Me & my family - me,hubby & 2 daughters. 18 & 6 year old. stayed for 2 weeks in june this year. we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which are quite large & really nice it even had 2 bathrooms a real plus with a teenage daughter! a large fridge/freezer, sandwich maker, 2 cooking ring, kettle, nicely decorated.

The hotel has a number of waterslides even a cave for the children to explore & a kids club

Only problem I & other guests had is air-con. is expensive £100.00 for a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 weeks & £60.00 for a 1 bedroom apartment! Myself & other guests bought stand-up fans from the local supermarket (Migros) for £10.00.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We have been to marmaris 8 times & this is one of the best hotels for families.

We booked with portland which is part of thomson.

I would NOT recommend Baris hotel :( the rooms are just not up to standard & not much sun on the pool area.

Hope this helps.

Diane.

:D Thanks for all advice

We have narrowed it down to

Banana Apart Marmaris but dont know were there are?
Serin A/I Marmaris
Seda S/C Marmaris
Epic S/C Marmaris
Kaan Apartments Marmaris

Or Kelopatra Icmeler S/C
Sun Village S/C Icmeler

Just can not decide we are over in Marmaris next week so we are going to have a look about find the above Apartments and have a look at them.

We really need 2 -3 bedrooms but not many have them so it looks like we have to book 2 rooms

Thanks again  every one

have you thought about private rental this might work out cheaper for a 2 bed apt than having to book 2 rooms

Hi Ellie

Yes but the ones ive checked are either booked or more expensive than Apartments.

I email one and they wanted £500 for the week which isnt bad but i can get A/I for 7 off us for £600

Or S/C for £150 for 2 Apartments

With us doing A/I for years now im finding it quite fustrating to decide what to do.

I want to try S/C with us not doing it before then on other hand would A/I be better with 3 young kiddies in tow  ?

We are going to look at the ones ive found up to now when we are in Turkey next week.

And decide from there, thanks for your advice and enjoy your holiday i think you fly out same date as us 16th Oct?

Have a lovely time :D

no we fly out tomorrow ,havent even packed yet, had a nightmare of a day, ellie took ill in a lot of pain so ive had to run her over to the hospital to get her checked, luckily its only a viral infection so they have given her medication what a terrible thing to happen day before hol, we return late 16th/17th

my mother rents out a lovely 2 bed apt sleeps 6 with bed settees in beldibi with a lovely shared pool, only 5 mins on the dolmus into marmaris, have a look at her website and they live nearby if you need anything and the rates a lot cheaper than £500, we stayed there last xmas it was lovely

Hi Celine,
I can highly recommend the Kleopatra II. we are goning back there for the sixth time next year. They can also arrange for a private transfer. The Appts are a twenty minute stroll to the centre. if you have been to Icmeler before they are at the side of the Wednesday market. The problem is the requirement for a lift. The only Appts in S/C Icmeler with a lift, to the very best of my knowledge, are the Club Tokmak Appts, which are at the side of the Kelopatra. Good luck with your choice.
