We owned Timeshare at the Regency Club which is opposite Neptuno and part of the same consortium. We have never actually stayed at Neptuno as the general layout of it never really appealed to us with the appartments surrounding the pool, although we have eaten in the restaurant many times. All Regency Resort apartment are of a very high standard so you will have no problems on that side. It a a nice area, reasonably quiet, but there are not many restaurants/bars in the direct vicinity but then if you are hiring a car you will have no problems. To get to the resort there is quite a hill to walk up. If you don't want to venture too far in the evenings you could also go into The Regency Club for entertainment or a meal. The food in their restaurant is superb although a little more expensive than other restaurants, as you are staying at Neptuno you will also be allowed to use the facilities of The Regency Club during the day. In my opinion the pool area is layed out much better than Neptuno, they also have a pool bar where you can by snacks and drinks during the day. Over the last few years the entertainment went down hill a bit. Most of the original owners including us bought at their new resort The Regency Country Club in Chayofa and they resold most of the resort to Russians etc. Not that there is anything wrong with Russians, but they require different things from Europeans. When we first bought there 16 years ago there was always things going on around the pool if you wanted to join in and the evening entertainment was second to none. Over the years it seemed to get quiter with regard to activities etc so obviously this has a knock on effect. They are not going to pay for top entertainement when there are only a dozen or so people to watch it. On saying that if Andre is performing while you are there he is good for a laugh.
If you get a chance visit the new resort in Chayofa as you can use the facilities of any of their resorts while you are there. The place is to die for

Hope this helps
