Our first holiday was to ibiza, san antonio of all places in 1987?? we were very young and innocent, didnt take part in the stuff that it was famous for.

we went to tenerife for our honeymoon, been to paris city and euro disney, menorca 6/8 times, lanzarote twice, germany once, cyprus twice, mainland spain (YUK) once and never again, algarve once.

looking at a greek island or protarus end of cyprus or carribean for the next holiday. Plus a quick trip to barcelona either xmas or february.

my first holiday over seas was on a coach to spain and we did this twice and ill never do it again,i had no choice my mom and dad made me but it was a top holiday

my first holiday was 1984or5 cant remember but me and my mates went callela it was brill. we met gary liniker&mark hughes in a pub called RABBIE BURNS they were playing for barcalona at the time and they were there doing some kind of promotion. got my shirt signed and when i got back home my mother washed it and that was that gone still got the photos though

Oh my god feel really old here 1976 arenal majorca started off with three friends going and ended up with 16 of us going, families tagged along still had a great holiday though, was only 17.

My first holiday ever was to Walton on the Naze with my mum, dad and older brother in our Caravan. We used to go there almost every weekend and all through the summer from when I was a baby. In the early 70's (god am I really that old) we started travelling to Benidorm for long weekends (4 days).Due to my parents owning a Greengrocers they would not leave the shop in someone else's care for too long. We used to have these long weekend about every four months, the last one of the year always being about October time when there were festivals out there, can still hear the fire crackers going off now. My first holiday with my mates was to Greece. Memories going a bit now and I can't remeber the exact year, all I know it was when Charles and Diana got married. Worked out really cheap as one of the boys that came with us had family living there who put us all up.

when i was a child i lived in Germany as my dad was in the army and i vaguely remember having holidays in Austria and Switzerland at a very young age... but i have decided they don't count as we lived in Europe anyway

I can remember in the 70's ( now i feel old!) my Nan used to take me and my brother to Cleethorpes on the train for our holidays. My first holiday abroad after that was when i went to the USA in 1982 to stay with my pen pal for a month in the Rocky mountains of Montana.

My first holiday with Rob was when we went to Lanzarote many moons ago. I fell in love with the canaries and we have been visiting one island or another with the kids every year ever since.

First holiday abroad was to Tangier in Morocco aged 17, was to young to appreciate the country, seeing the poverty and begging on the streets was quite frightening .

Would like to go back to see if things have changed at all, and if the wonderful hotels along the front are still there .

I can rember going to a market and seeing blankets on the ground with teeth on , and people actually trying teeth for size, funny how some things stay in your mind.

1976 Athens. We had already booked a fortnight in the October. As it was our first holidaywe were a bit nervous in case we had made a mistake. Managed to book a last minute week in Junethinking if we had made a mistake could rebook for later. Wow!! The October hol couldn't come quick enough.( Flew with the old Dan-Air both times)

Set the marker for future holidays. Just book somewhere and see how it turns out.

First holiday abroad it must have been France. Those are the oldest photos I can find and we're most definitely at Dover castle and then we are most definitely on a ferry. It would have been around 1975/76.

First holiday without the folks (not counting the french exchange when I was 14) was 1988 Salou. We didn't have much money so we worked for a bar for about 4 hours each night purely for the free drinks then went out after.

I don't remember my first ever holiday because I was only 3 months old! I know we went to Barcelona because there's a photo of us on the Nou Camp stadium. That would have been in summer 1977. I wouldn't have a clue though!

My first holiday was when i was 3 to Dover Court. It was the holiday camp they used to film Hi-De-Hi. First one abroad was when i was 13 to Magaluf in Mallorca. Got a great tan and couldnt wait to get back to school and show it off but i came back ran upstairs to my bedroom and fell straight back down them!!! Ended up with my leg in plaster for 5 months!

First holiday as a grown adult was Goa last year, oh how I miss that place

When our family were young in 60s and 70s we went on the Lincolnshire and Yorkshire coast. Our first holiday abroad was to Switzerland on a coach trip for our Silver Wedding in 1987.
The first time we flew was to Palma Nova, Majorca in 1992 and we have usually gone on holiday to various places 3 times a year since then. Our favorites being Benidorm (we go later this month)and Palma Nova (going in Jan.)
I love talking to people who went abroad in the early years and hearing what the resorts were like then.
