Very little in the way of shopping, it's far too small a resort, just consisting of small hotels, rooms, tavernas, tourist tat shops and a harbour with ferries to Kalymnos. The beach to the west is superb white sand.
so you are off to mastihari to!
further down the forum you will see that i left a post asking for info on the marmari palace hotel in mastihari.

Mastihari is quite a small resort. Seems to consist of a small harbour with a sandy beach lined with several tavernas and bars. behind this frontage lies a maze of small criss cross streets with little shops and bars leading out onto a very small square again bordered by two or three restaurants. Apart from this there is very little to Mastihari. I don't know about any nightlife as i have only visited during the day from Kefalos. It is quite picturesque and the area along the beach is quite quaint, but the area with the shops feels quite modern and purpose built although not unpleasant. I quite liked mastihari. I love Mastihari, we stay at the panoram apartments, which is owned by the mother of the owner of the tasty palace restaurant, right on the beach and the sunsets are wonderful, yes its quiet but thats its charm!!
