Hi Emily,
We didn't hire a safety deposit box, because we were AI we didn't have a lot of cash on us at any one time, and when we are away we use the cash point machines rather than carry lots of cash or bother with travellers cheques. I think that the deposit box was about 24 euros for the first week and about 16 per week after that. When you check in the will give you the info you need on them. I hope the weather will be as kind to you as it was to us, even the pool wasn't too cold! But even if you do get the odd bad day I'm sure the entertainment team will not let you down. As I said before I can't praise them enough, ask Stuart or Andy will they be making the ULTIMATE sangria during your stay, my daughter is STILL talking about it !!!! LOL.
Let me know how you get on.
Donna.
Thanks for the info. We also tend not to carry that much cash, but use the safety deposit box for travel documents etc.
Sounds like you had a great time, I am hoping our week turns out to be just as good. I will let you know when I get back.
emily
p.s. Thanks for the tip on the Sangria (I love it!)
Anyone been recently to this hotel fond a very good deal for next year and after looking at reviews here and elsewhere , not sure , the deal we saw was half board but the food reviews are hit and miss and dont want to spend the money for HB if it will be rubbish , might as well book a SC apt
We stayed the first 2 weeks in October on an A/I package. The hotel was approx. 60% A/I and 40% half board. The food was standard for a 3 star hotel. Until the hotel either goes totally A/I or totally half board I would not return.
I am also thinking of going here 2007 - teh reviews I have seen were mixed. Anyone got any up to date information?
Luch was not so bad as only A/I guests dined then.
Queues for the bar at night coulkd take up to 20 minutes at times. Some people were only wanting tea of coffee. If this hotel had been totally A/I there could have been a self service machine for such items.
The hotel management need to have more staff on the bar in the evening.
Having said all that, the food was quite good as were the drinks. The hotel is only around 7 minutes from the beach and main shops.
Robert
Just wondering if anyone has stayed here before and could tell me what you thought.

Ive also posted regarding this hotel.....Ive booked for the end of June this year. Am now convinced i have made a good choice. You will see good and not so good reviews of this hotel, but they are miles better than a lot of the ones that some travel agents kept trying the flog me! LOL!
The room was awful I have to say, but I believe they have been done up and now have airconditioning.
Food was lovely, couldn't believe some of the subsequent reviews saying it was disgusting.
There was a brilliant entertainment team when we were there and there were daytime activitie aswell as professional acts on an evening.
We stayed here last October, we had a great time, hotel was spotless, food was ok plenty of choice, the entertainment team were first class, pool area was very full even for October. All in all we had a brill holiday and would use this hotel again no problem.
we stayed here 2 summers ago and we had good hol was very hot in rooms but they have air con now short walk to beach but nice few bars on way have a great holiday
stayed at the mimosa park in Oct 06, superb hotel, only gripe was standing in a queue for drinks at the bar. but your on your hols anyway, so just chill out. don,t understand these people who go ballistic when on their holidays. whats the point in going !!
yeah totally agree with offshorelad holiday is what you make it especially when your saved all year!! You have a great time here.
im off to the Mimosa Park on Tuesday (and I cannot wait!)and after reading some reviews was wondering if anyone could help me. Some reviews have said that one side of it faces a busy main road but the other doesn't. i was going to email the hotel and request a room which is not on the main road, does anyone know if they would try and accommodate this? or am i better waiting will i get there?
also, any more info on this hotel would be appreciated!
Thanks

we are going to mimosa in august and read loads of reviews from last year. just wondered if it had changed much this year. we are going half board but are thinking about upgrading to all inclusive when we get there. has anyone done this and was it worth it? THANKS JOANNE
just arrived back from the mimosa park palma nova. been to the resort many times but not to this hotel.nice clean hotel a bit dated but bedding clean and towels changed every other day. the air conditioning was the best i have ever had didnt need it on at night or you would freeze to death . no need to get up at stupid oclock to get a sunbed there were plenty to go round as most of the young ones were still in bed until tea time and that was the worst part that the groups of young ones coming in in the early hours worse for wear. dont get me wrong i like a good night out but when you can hear every word and arguments and singing at five in the morning it gets on your nerves after a while. however there is security and they soon quiet them down. the food was excellent.at breakfast there was plenty of choiceand for evening meal if you like roast dinners and fresh veg there is a chef stood carving real joints of beef turkey or pork. or there will be a choice of lasagne or meat pie plus your usual fish choice. as for puddings profiteroles and tiramasu were on a number of times during the fortnight which made a change from the usual jelly and cake.we were half board and tended to go out for a drink on an evening but the odd drink we had in the hotel was ok and didnt need to que. also the staff were friendly especially in the restaurant.the lifts were a bit of a pain but you either put up with them or use the stairs. all in all we enjoyed staying here and would probably go back again.
So nice to hear a good review on this hotel, have read quite a few on different forums and have had mixed reports, its good to hear from someone who has only just come back. We are going to the Mimosa Park in 3 weeks time, can't wait now.
Thanks Julie
Flight dosent leave until night and im guessing that we'll be thrown out at midday.
