Me and my wife are looking to go on holiday but we just can't quite decide where to go...
We have been given some quotes on these places, price per couple were as follows.....
THAILAND
15TH November, 4 Nights at 5 star hotel Montien Riverside (Room Only)
20th November Bangkok 10 Nights at 4 star hotel Imperial Boat House (bed and breakfast) Total=£1746
MEXICO
20TH November 14 nights - 4 Star Hotel Blue Bay Getaway and Spa in Cancun All Inclusive TOTAL =£1432
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
20TH November 14 nights - 4 Star Hotel Occidental Allegro in Playa Dorada All Inclusive TOTAL=£1292
CAYO COCO (CUBA)
15TH November 14 nights - 4 Star Hotel Coco Villas in Cayo Coco All Inclusive TOTAL=£1452
IS Thailand really as cheap as everyone makes out when you get there?
Would anybody recommend any of these places or can you think of somewhere else which you recommend? We're looking to go away for 14 days...

Are you aware that the Blue Bay Getaway in Cancun has a reputation as an "adult" resort? It gets good reviews on several sites but you would need to be fairly broad-minded.
Yes Thailand is pretty cheap once you get there...we were budgeting £20 per day for meals and drinks for both of us in reasonable quality tourist restaurants (we were on B&B). You'll pay more if you eat in hotel. Plenty of beach restaurants by Imperial Boat House. Eating out is part of the fun. I would pick Thailand over the Caribbean any time.
I second what Sunbear has just said the Far East is just so much more interesting than the Caribbean - I am hooked on the Far East.
I have visited Cancun myself and found the beaches were lovely but the resort was 'plastic' and americanised - I would not return there.
The Imperial Boathouse is a lovely hotel on a pretty beach and Bangkok is fascinating.

Wouldn't you want to do it the other way around and not have 10 days in Bangkok but 4 and then longer at the beach resort? I ask this because all the other holidays are totally beach based.

Was just going to say the same as Bridd 
it featured on holidays from hell, an oldish couple were sent there and not told what it was like and even though they were broad minded it was TOO much for them.

I think the Thai Holiday is 4 days Bangkok and 10 days beach.
