No, didn't use either company but they are part of the companies we used to purchase, would say first one probably better. We do not need to furnish to rent for corporate but we decided to sell anyway, too many new places to buy!! I would suggest contacting them and ask to see furniture etc before deciding.
The apartment was at Burj Dubai so Emaar. Should have been ready Jan 06, then Aug but eventually end of September so as you say wait until firm date. Also we had to have a snagging check before handover so instead of going twice paid to have that done and went for handover although they will do that as well for you. Also Emaar will fax the date for handover once snagging is done but these tend to go astray and you get charged interest for going over.
