I thought I'd share my experience of skiing in borovets a few years ago.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the yagoda log cabins. It was a fab 1st time skiing trip. The accomodation was great, really pretty and comfortable, but it was located just a bit too far from the centre to walk so we had to either catch the free ski bus which meant your constrained to keeping to the time table or catch taxis (pretty cheap). Eating out was great, lovely food and cheap prices. We met some great people, but other than skiing we found there wasn't much else to do.

However on the last but one day my boyfriend broke his leg and to cut the long story short we ended staying an extra 4 nights in the Samokov hotel whilst he receovered enough to get his "fit to fly certificate" and a nurse flown in!!!

I cannot fault the held and support we had from the ski instructor and holiday rep's as well as Maggie the Nurse, but the hotel we not at all sympathetic or supportive to my partner. The food was awful too, though we did have a nice room looking over the centre it was a bit noisy at night time!!!!

It hasn't put us of skiing at all and this year we are going to Lapland - so if anyone has stayed at the Levi chalets I would appreciate some feedback!
