Thanks for all the help and advice.
It is the first time for us to Mexico so we needed a lot of help.
We have booked for two weeks staying at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo for May 2007.
We eventually booked with a Travel Agent (not something we have done for a long while) Thomas Cooks as they gave the best price better than their web site. Tried to do it DIY but could only get flights could not get the hotel from any of the web sites I tried so that might have been cheaper but we were more than happy with the price.
Only 7 Months to go
You will love Playacar we have stayed in the Riu Palace. The beach is superb.you can get the bus to cancun for the day, which is well worth the visit but it was too busy at night for me, also worth a trip is the ferry over to Cozumel. We also went in may and the weather was excellent, only rain was for a few minutes and then red hot, im sure you will enjoy it.
We wanted to go over to Cozumel for the day how long does it take and can you eat/drink at the Iberostar hotel on the island?
Red hot in May sounds just what we like.
Thanks again Dawn
We booked the trip with Thomson to Cozumel it cost, 180 pounds for the two of us, this included ferry crossing and entrance to Chankanar national, which i know i have spelt wrong, i would do it my self. I dont know where your hotel is compared to the Riu Palace but it only costs about a fiver in a taxi to the ferry terminal, the crossing takes about 40 minutes, all in all we could have done the same trip for around 50 pounds, you can also swim with the dolphins in Cozumel but we didnt because we were moving house the week we got back and i thought it was expensive.Cancun is nice but i would not want to stay there as the sea is on the pacific side which can be rough, when we were there for the day the waves were huge and no swimming was aloud, Playacar is much nicer being on thr Caribeean side. Any more questions then fire away
errrr... Cancun and Playacar both share the same coast - the Carribean
