As the season has only just started I imagine it will be a while before we get any feedback. I go there for Christmas/New Year and will certainly do a post when I return to give my views on how it has changed. I found it acceptable last year but was not expecting luxury. However, there was definitely room for improvement - if only a lick of paint.

We are staying at the Alor Grande in Febuary, Has anybody stayed there this season? Is the refurb finished? and are the extra facilities ie pool table etc that Thompson say are planned for 2006/20007 in situ yet?

The Alor Grande has had a complete makeover this past year. A New entrance area leading into the poolside resturant, the poolside has been retiled and the once deep swimming pool has been filled to make a childrens pool with a seperate adult pool.
All the exterior buildings have had another repaint since last year and also the stair wells. Long overdue but it has been done and looking very good.
Most rank and file staff are generally good and I think Managment has been improved. The food looks good but as with most hotels a little extra however I think on some nights entertainment is being provided, and maybe your first night it may be well to stay local.
If you have been before you will be more than suprised. Enjoy
