Hi all,

Planning to go travelling in Goa in Jan next year so really need some advise.

Need to know how much (rough guess) the average hotel/B&B is per night, just not sure how much money i am likely to need? Plan to stay in nothing above a two star.

I would love to hear from somebody who has done this before - to ask how much money i would need for say 5 months - including all lodgings, doing a few tours, eating, drinking, taxis...etc. Just a rough guess would be brill.

i would say that you need 25,000 to 30.000 per month

Should i book a hotel before i go out to Goa, just to start off with, or is it easy enough to find somewhere to stay by just walking around?

We usually stay for 4 to 41/2 months and spend about £2,000 to £2,500,
for every thing including eating out food and drink,Guest housce accomadation,some trips away local taxis ect.This is for 2 people :wink:

I Would not bother to book accomadation as in Jan there are usually more rooms available after the new year madness.Its nomally just the first night that might be hard,depends on what time of day you get there.

What are the most important things that we will need whilst travelling in India?

Did you just stay in Goa, just wondering about trains?? Are they safe?

The rail network is very good in India,and there as safe as any other form of transport there,and good value,you can get to almost anywhere
by train.and well used.You can book your own tickets or go to a local travel agent,If your staying for 5 months definatly worth having 2 or three holidays while on holiday
