I'm plugging my bloke Alwin's restaurant in Candolim. He's hoping to open on 14 November - located down the Beach Road near to Sunset Beach Hotel and Whispering Palms, towards the beach. Anyone out there please go and try it out, I've just come back and won't be out until 3 December. The menu is quite large and he's hoping for a lot of British custom. I'm sure the food and service will be excellent (if it's not let me know and I'll tell him!! - only joking!)

No he's indian. There's 3 of them in partnership. They will be serving all kinds specialising in seafood. For anyone that's been in the Angarra over the last 5 years they probably know him - his name is Alwin. They are very keen for British custom.

Wendy I will deffo give it a try four of us are going to goa so I will bring my friends to .....my husband and brother want to try lobster will they have to order it the day before :?:

also will you ask Alwin can he get pineapple barcardi breezers ....if he gets me that I will live with him for two weeks haha :glynis

I haven't seen Pineapple Bacardi Breezers there as yet. I'll ask him. After speaking to him last night they are hoping to open next week, probably 7 or 8 November. I'll let you know.

Wendy. We are in Candolim from 14th to 28th Jan 2007. Is the beach road you are describing the one with "Just Chinese" on the corner of the main road, and "Fishermans Cove" about half-way down?

That is the Beach Road but not the one where Whispering Palms is - its down towards Sinquerim - past Stonehouse and Ruffles, the Sunset Beach Hotel and Whispering Palms hotel are down this road, go past them and it is on the left hand side, right by the River Princess! Fisherman's Cove is now on the main road, near where the Jazz House was (no longer). Please try his place out, he's very excited about it all, and so am I! It is a very bad thing working for others in Goa, they pay a pittance!

We'll give it a try as well. We usually stay at the Sunset Beach so it'll be very handy to us. Mind you we're not going to Goa till Mar/Apr '07. Wish it was sooner.
