you can buy a nice sula in a shop for 540 rupees, I had 2 last week!!
An off licence near Levis/Nike shop in Panjim sells imported wines mainly New World types including sparkling types. But these are quite expensive by English Standards not to mention Indian
No need for well known named champagnes. Sula is perfectly drinkable - if you find in a restaurant, will work out approximately £10.
I took my own for the wifes 40th last year, but I bet you could pick up a decent bottle if your stopping off in Bahrain on the way.
thanks for the replies everyone, i will try the Sula, not long now for the wife and I. This Sunday, flight from Gatwick.
