We have got an answer for them when they approach us. We just tell them the second word is "off" and they can choose their own first word!

or tell them that you have bought a property outright already, they soon shut up!

OH NO... it was bad enough in tenerife 15 years ago!!!! we got plagued day and night, the beach sellers and the airport porters i can cope with but PLEASE not time share......

When the time share pests accost you with the scratch cards, tell them "if I don't win anything I will accompany you" watch their faces drop.

The best response is to tell them that you are going home today even if you are only there or even better tell them you used to do there job in spain

Why bother with any excuses or lies, just say NO. and don't get involved in ANY discussions.

I am staying in the South in February.

Does anyone know if the time share people are down there or are they only in the north?

Yeah they are in the south, we were there for a month. They were mainly from the Royal Goan chain. Just be firm and say not interested and you don't want them asking you again and you'll be fine.

We got hassled by the timeshare people when i went with my parents in 2004, we went for 3 weeks in Jan/Feb and when we were walking from arpora to baga beach they would hassle us, i think it was that newly opened hotel on the right hand side as you walk towards baga beach, near mo jo's and the market.

They gave us scratch cards and said we'd won a free stay, and because we were staying in an absolute dive at the time (the abalone) my dad asked could we take the stay now, but they said no you have to fly home and then fly back to claim your free stay. so we thought sod it, and carried on.

I must admit, we didnt see them this year, but we did go a bit late in season (mid april)

I just say a firm no, and ignore them if they carry on. It usually works.

There are timeshare touts everywhere this season all wearing smart England type rugby shirts they do not usually bother me but got into a bit of an argument the other day with an absolute pest who tried all the usual, one hour only sir etc,etc,etc, i get 3,000 rupees etc, then life is not fair sob sob, i ended up telling him to allan.

Im not too sure, but when i spoke to one he said he was from somewhere else in India, and he was employed by a company, came out for the season to Goa then goes back home when the tourists go home.
I dont know if all the timeshare pests do this.
