I'm so paranoid about identity theft I almost shred the newspapers!

Seriously, I shred everything with our names and address on, all bills, statements and receipts when no longer useful. Even 'junk' mail, if it is named and addressed.

I know that we do not, but, you should keep those receipts until you get your statement, then check them.

If there is an error then you have the documentation to prove it.

A few months ago I contacted VISA re chip & pin transactions. On two occasions I had used my card and noted that until I entered my pin it did not dial up. It is possible, as this was linked to the till, that someone could apply a reader on the till and obtain my pin.

VISA say that it is OK that some machines do this.

My view is that until direct online I should not enter my pin.

When I am at the supermarket I am not asked to enter the pin until it is online. I have requested my concern to be noted.

We shred every-thing with any personal details on,but while we sorting paperwork to be shredded we noticed that reciepts from QVC show the complete card number on.. ...im so glad we shred reciepts now..
