Yep! thats what I read! problem is I can`t go to that hotel knowing that there might be `one` sometime during my holiday.

I was all set to book tomorrow, but until I have a bit more info just can`t bring myself to do it.

Maybe I`m not meant to go to Makadi Bay! could be an omen telling me I should be booking somewhere else. Its only for a week of chilling out, done El Gouna, Taba and Sharm. This is the closest I could come to a snake!! wouldn1t need the plane to get me home if I did... would be able to swim all the way myself.

Katiesmum,I wouldnt let this put you off if you are looking forward to going to this hotel.I dont like snakes one little bit but someone told me that just before the shows they are fed and become very docile.In March in the hotel Hemera in Side a show was on when out of the blue a large yellow boa constrictor was brought out of a basket.The lady was dancing around the floor with it and invited all the children in the audience to come on the floor.She put them in order of height and they all held the snake above their heads.She then carried it around the room and invited people to touch it.After seeing those kids faces I bravely touched it and was pleased I did.If you find out what night its on in the hotel you could go to another bar until the show is finished.I am sure the snake charmer will probably go around all the hotels in the Hurgada area ,so you may encounter him in another hotel,good luck,Jay

Thanks for the comments, just knowing that there could be a snake in the hotel at some time, does mean that I could not go - no matter how much I wanted to. (I really am so scared, it makes me go cold even talking about them).

I`ve been looking at hotels in Marsa Alam and Sharm again, there are a lot to choose from so I am sure we will find a nice one.

Thanks Briar, they are on my list along with loads of others in Sharm. Thought I was sorted, but so glad I didn`t book then realise about the `snake`.
